June 13: Microsoft hold their annual Xbox press conference at E3.
- Trailers were shown for Gears of War 4, Halo Wars 2, Inside, Tekken 7, Killer Instinct, ReCore, Scalebound and Sea of Thieves.
- A number of brand new games were also revealed, these included; Dead Rising 4, State of Decay 2 and Forza Horizon 3.
June 13: A new slimmer revision of the Xbox One model is revealed, the Xbox One S. The console was released two months later.
June 13: At their annual press conference, Microsoft teased a brand new, more powerful Xbox One model codenamed Project Scorpio, scheduled for release the following year.
June 13: Xbox Play Anywhere is announced.
June 13: A Limited Edition Gears of War 4 Xbox One Elite Controller is revealed.

September 6: Forza Motorsport 6 Apex Release on PC.
September 7: Xbox Design Lab is launched.
September 13: Microsoft launches Xbox Play Anywhere, a cross-play program between Windows 10 and Xbox One consoles.
September 13: NHL 17 is released.
September 20: NBA 2K17 is released for Xbox One.
September 27: FIFA 17 is released.
September 27: Forza Horizon 3 is released for Xbox One and Windows 10.
September 27: The Blue Xbox One controller is released.
