February
- February 7: The Winter Forces and Ocean Shadow Xbox One controllers are released at select retailers.[2]
- February 21: Halo Wars 2 is released on Xbox One and Windows.
- February 28: Xbox Game Pass, a subscription service for Xbox One consoles that gives users access to a rotating library of over 100 Xbox One and Xbox 360 games for $9.99 US a month is announced and given a launch window of later in Spring. Titles confirmed to be available on the service at launch include Halo 5: Guardians, Payday 2, NBA 2K16 and SoulCalibur II.[3]

May
- May 16: Injustice 2 is released on Xbox One and Windows in North America.
- May 19: Injustice 2 is released on Xbox One and Windows in Europe.
- May 24: Xbox Game Pass is given a launch date of June 1. Xbox Live Gold members are given two weeks early access.[5]
- May 25: After being acquired by Microsoft the year prior, streaming platform Beam is rebranded to Mixer.[6]

Thirteen titles are made available including: Black, BloodRayne 2, Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge, Dead to Rights, Fuzion Frenzy, Grabbed by the Ghoulies, Ninja Gaiden Black, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, Psychonauts, Red Faction II, Sid Meier’s Pirates!, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, and The King of Fighters Neowave.[12]
